SEO - Getting 1-Way Backlinks And Using Blogging To Improve Results
By Randall A Magwood

Search engine optimization should be at the cornerstone of your internet marketing campaign. Some people choose to use it while others don't understand it and choose not to do it at all. But if you're not doing some form of SEO, then what exactly are you doing to get more new leads in for free?

Sure there are other free marketing techniques on the internet, but I believe that search engine marketing is something that anyone can do, and can do fantastically well. And in today's lesson, I want to share with you some of the things that you could be doing on a daily basis to get more traffic to your website simply and easily.

In fact, let's get right into the heart of the matter and discuss things that you can do to boost your search engine optimization efforts. Here's the first tip:

1) Seek out 1-way backlinks

A "1-way" backlink is a backlink that people link to if you have high quality information on your webpage. It assumes the notion that someone must be linking to your webpage because you have good information on there. 1-way backlinks hold much more weight in the search engine's eyes than does "2-way" backlink.

An example of a 2-way backlink would be if you were to contact a relevant website owner and ask them if they want to exchange links. This is fine and can improve your website rankings also, but it assumes that you're in partnership with someone else, instead of having that person manually link to your content because it's so good.

Here's another search engine optimization tip that you will want to consider:

2) Create a blog

Blogging is a great way to get new subscribers and to build relationships with the people on your list. Each time you create a new blog post, you will want to visit a site called "pingomatic", and "ping" your blog. This will bring the search engine services to your blog and index your content quickly and easily.

And if you have a website link on your blog post that you want to draw attention to, then you should know that it will get ranked in the search engines also. The easiest way to start your own blog is by visiting a site called "Blogger.com". With Blogger, you can create your own blog within a matter of minutes, and have it up and running for you in no time.

Be sure to post frequently on your blog, and mention your website on your blog so that it can get found by the search engine services, and indexed into the search engines. Blogging may be the easiest thing to do online - especially if you have no experience with marketing or creating a website. Simply blog, make a post, ping the search engine services, submit to the blog directories, submit to the RSS feed directories... and you will be good to go.

These 2 tips for using search engine marketing to promote your business is something that you will want to use right away if you want to have the kind of success that you're looking for in your business.

Good luck with using these tips to improve your sales and profits today.
